It depends on the context of where you are citing and if you are required to use a citation style.

If you require a citation style (e.g. MLA or APA)

If you're citing in an essay article you've written or are otherwise asked for a specific citation format you can use MLA or APA style. Follow a link below in your preferred citation style for an example of an image citation.

If you don't require a citation style

If you're citing an image from the web that you are using in your presentation slides, in a website you've created, a poster, or other digital medium, you can simply state:

(from: [website/photographer name])

and then link back to the original. For example:
