First, check to see which citation style you are expected to use for your assignment. At Seneca, most courses use either MLA or APA citation styles and it's likely you're expected to use one or the other. If no citation style is required, see our recommendations for digital assignments (bottom of the page).
Our general recommendation is:
List your references in a slide at the end of the presentation. Format them as best you can in accordance with the citation rules you're following.
Use in-text citations throughout your presentation where applicable just as you would in a paper.
If your instructor has different instructions or preferences for citing in your presentation, please follow their advice. After all, they're the ones who will be marking your assignment!
Need information about MLA or APA citation? Be sure to check out our MLA and APA guides that can be accessed for free through the library website.
