Some databases allow it while some don't, and it comes down to our licence agreement with the database provider. To find out if our licence allows it, you'll need to know which database the article was found in to read through that database's Terms of Use.

To find a database's Terms of Use:

  1. Locate the database.
  2. Click Additional info beneath the description.
  3. Click the Details and Terms of Use link.
  4. Click on the Show Terms of Use button

If you have further questions about using database content, send them to us via theservicehub@senecapolytechnic.ca.

The preferred method of sharing articles is through a persistent link since no permissions are required and each reader may link to, download, or print their own copy of the article. Note that most databases allow persistent (electronic) links, but there are some that don't.
