You can find partial lists of picture books by topic and campus on the Early Childhood Education subject guide. You will see at the top of the screen lists of children's picture books at Newnham Library and King Library.

How do I search for picture books using the library website?

You can do a general search for picture books through the Library Search. To do that:

  1. Enter the topic you are searching into the search box. e.g. animals
  2. Change the drop down menu on the right from Everything to Picture Books and press enter.

The library search box with the word families in it and the picture books option selected

  3. The results list will show you items in our picture book collections at both King and Newnham campuses. If you prefer, you can specify which campus items you'd like to see using the 'Library Location' limit on the left side of the page.

Would you rather browse our shelves? Most of our picture books are shelved separately from our main collection and begin with the call number PZ. Can't find them? Just ask a friendly face at the library service desk.
