You can find databases recommended for a subject area in a few different ways, but remember that topics can be covered in many different databases, so you don't need to stick to just one.

Where to begin?

  1. Subject Guides
    • Most subject guides will have a list of the best databases for a particular subject area, so they're a great place to start. If your topic is highly specialized in your subject area you may want to start here.
  2. Library search
    • The library website searches many (but not all) databases at once so you don't need to choose. This is a great option for multidisciplinary topics that may be covered in a number of databases.
  3. Database list
    • The full list of our databases can be sorted by subject area, type, and vendor using the drop down menus. Read through the database descriptions to find one that suits your needs.
