CINAHL is a nursing database subscribed to by Seneca Libraries. Log in using your Seneca username and password.
To search CINAHL:
Enter your keywords in the search box.
Scroll down to the 'Limit your results' section. Check the boxes Full Text and Peer Reviewed (if required by your instructor).
Add any other limits you feel may help you. You will find helpful options such as 'First Author is Nurse', 'Evidence-Based Practice' and age group limits, among others.
Submit your search.
After submitting, you'll first see your search history, which you can modify or combine with other searches you've tried. Scroll past this to see your results.
Click on the title of an article if you'd like to see more information about it, and click the PDF link at the top left of the page to open the full article. With your article open, you may print, email or save the article using the options.
CINAHL retains your search history so your prior searches can be combined and manipulated to find the best results for your topic.
