If you don’t want your video to be searchable, choose the “unlisted” setting when uploading. This means that only people with the direct link can watch the video. A video set to "private" may not be viewable to others.
Looking for options other than YouTube? If you only need a way for your instructor to view your video, there are other hosting options you can investigate such as Microsoft Stream (available to the Seneca community via Office 365), Vimeo, Google Drive, Dropbox, or more.
