It’s best to assign the tutorial alongside a research assignment so students can apply the skills immediately. Completing it just before beginning academic research helps reinforce the strategies, whereas completing it on its own can feel disconnected and less meaningful.
To use the tutorial in Blackboard, download the package and import it into your course. It will automatically create two gradebook columns: one to track completion and one to upload a badge from a previous attempt if students completed the tutorial in another course.
Please ensure your students SUBMIT THE FORM TO REQUEST THEIR BADGE at the end of the tutorial, if they do not they will not have proof of completion to use in other courses. View this video or this PDF for full instructions on how students will request their badge.
