Did you know you can now pick up library materials even after the library's book stacks have closed? The Library's new pickup lockers are a place where we can safely store your hold requests.
Pickup lockers are in use at Newnham, Seneca@York, and King libraries.
The pickup locker at Newnham campus
To retrieve your books from the locker:
- Select 'Pickup' on the screen
- Scan your OneCard barcode with the barcode reader or select 'Manual Input' to type your OneCard number
- Your holds will display on the screen. You can choose to select all items or only some.
- The locker will automatically pop open for you to collect your items
- Close the locker when you're done
That's it! Once you retrieve your books they'll appear on your library account. Staff are available to assist from 9am-5pm but you can pick up materials from the locker any time the library space is open.
How do I know if my books are in the Pickup Locker?
When your holds are ready for pickup you'll receive an email in your @myseneca.ca inbox that looks something like this:

The following item, which you requested on 05/10/2023, can be picked up at Newnham Library - Pickup Locker location.
The item will be held for you until 05/17/2023.
Important! You must return or renew any overdue items in order to retrieve items from the pickup locker. To renew overdue items please contact library staff using the AskUs chat on the right.
