A PESTLE analysis is a tool used to help identify external influences on a business. PESTLE stands for Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, and Environmental factors. Country reports may include PESTLE analyses.

Look for these reports in databases that offer country information, such as GlobalData Explorer (formerly Marketline).

Finding a PESTLE analysis in GlobalData Explorer

In the database, under the ‘Countries’ tab at the top of the home page, find the country you’re researching.

Within GlobalData Explorer we see the countries tab highlighted at the top of the page

From the country report, select ‘Related Reports’ from the filters on the left. From the list of reports, find the Country Analysis Report: In-depth PESTLE Insights. Click the title to read the report online or download it as a PDF.

With the Australia report open we see Related Reports highlighted on the left before looking for the PESTLE report in the results

Find other country reports via the databases on the Country Information subject guide.

Need to cite your PESTLE analysis? Cite it as a business report from a library database in APA or MLA.
