Yes. This may happen if you are creating a list for other instructors to use in the future.
Once you create the list, you can add future instructors as collaborators so that they have access to view/edit the list. Once they are teaching the course/section, and it has been associated to a course/section, they will appear as the instructor. You can also create a copy of the list and give collaborator access to another instructor to edit as they wish. Similarly you can create a copy of a list and adapt it to another course with modifications if they share similar content. Copying the list does not copy the course association or the collaborators.
