While a Creative Commons license may grant the rights to use an image without needing to give credit, from an academic integrity perspective and based on Seneca's policies the expectation is that someone should credit any work that isn't their own. So as a best practice it is recommended that an individual should still cite the image. An instructor could waive this requirement at their discretion.
