Generally, the answer is yes. Film screenings at student club events and social functions are not covered by Seneca's feature film licenses nor by educational exemptions in the Copyright Act.

Contact the copyright team with questions, or for assistance in obtaining Public Performance Rights (PPR) for uses not covered by Seneca's licensing agreements. Any fees charged for the license (the average is $150 per showing) will be covered by the requestor.
