To find out if a book is available to borrow, search for it on the library website. On the results page, you can open an item's record by clicking its title.

In the book's record, look for:

  • the number of copies the library owns
  • the number of copies currently available at each of our campus locations.

E.g. Both King and Newnham campuses own one copy of the book below. Note that King's copy is available (1 available), but Newnham's copy is not (0 available).

one book available and one signed out

If a book is signed out, how do I know when it's due back?

Clicking on the item you want will tell you more details including how long the book can be borrowed and when it's expected to be returned.

E.g. By clicking on the Newnham Campus item above, we can now see what day and time the book is due back.

a due date on the library website stating book is on loan until a specific day or time
