For some assignments, searching for reviews is a good way to find critical evaluations of films and books.

You can find film or book reviews using the library search box located on the library's home page. To do that:

  1. Enter the title of the book or film in quotation marks, e.g. "Blade Runner".
  2. On the results page, look for the Content Type/Material heading on the left side of the page.
  3. Select 'Reviews' to update your results list.

e.g.

The content/material type limit options on the results page for a book title search. Reviews is highlighed.

  1. Click the title of any article you're interested in to open a brief description of it. To view the full article, open the database listed under View It and log in with your Seneca username and password.

Alternatively, some book and film reviews may be found directly through literature databases. Please see the Literature subject guide for a list of database suggestions.
