This problem can occur if you’re using an accelerator; for example, a product or toolbar add-on that collects information from web pages for citation. You may need to disable it temporarily while you browse the database. You can disable it by selecting the Tools menu in your browser, managing your add-ons, locating the add-on from the list and clicking the disable button.

If this doesn’t solve the problem, try using a different browser. You may also want to consider these additional solutions.
