Due to high demand, dictionaries may be borrowed for a maximum of 3 days at a time. Please note that there are also increased overdue fines on dictionaries. Thesauri are also available for loan, usually for two week periods.

During exam time at the end of term, the library will change the loan period on dictionaries from 3 days to 3 hours due to increased demand. Dictionaries are then available on a first-come, first-serve basis with no renewals and may not be passed to friends to borrow. The library cannot guarantee a dictionary will be available for you, and it is generally recommended that you bring your own dictionary to your exam.
